Children's Ministry

Children's Ministry

NorthPointe's Sunday ministries for children consist of five different age groups:

The Meadow - ages 6 weeks - around 18 months
We believe that babies learn of Christ's love through the love of caring adults, so Baby Pointe Volunteers are very loving and nurturing and just love babies!!

Toddler Pointe - ages 18 months  - 2 years
We believe that Toddlers need freedom within boundaries, so Toddler Pointe Volunteers allow the children to explore their surroundings and learn about Jesus in a safe, fun and caring environment.

The ARK - ages 3 - Pre-Kindergarten
Tammaney Holcombe  - Preschool Pointe Leader/ Coordinator
We believe that Preschoolers are amazed by the wonders and great stories in the Bible, so these teachers make the stories of Jesus come alive each week and provide hands-on activities for these active children to do. We also have frequent "Special Guest Appearances" by our very own A-Team Puppeteers!

Station 67 - ages Kindergarten - 5th Grade
Donna Williams - Children's Church Coordinator
We believe that children are the heart of the church. In Station 67, we create a fun and engaging environment were kids will learn about virtues.  A virtue is something that God changes inside of us so that we can change the world around us. We look to the bible to see how God loves us and wants us to love others.

Safe Place

NorthPointe Church is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for children and youth entrusted to our care. We do this to encourage children, youth, and their families to come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and to grow in their relationship with Him. Establishing procedures for all volunteers in these areas is one way we establish NorthPointe's Family Ministry as a safe place for everyone involved.

If you are 18 or older, you must be approved to work with children/youth at NorthPointe.  There are many opportunities to impact young lives and we'd love to have come serve along side us.  The link below will open a separate web page that will ask you for information needed to begin the approval process.  Included in this information, will be a request for authorization to perform a criminal background check.

Completion of this application does not constitute approval to serve with children/youth.  The information will be reviewed following the background check and final approval will occur shortly afterwards.

Maintaining a safe environment is not achieved through a one time background check.  Individuals already serving will be asked to renew their approval and that will require completing additional background checks.  The period for renewal will not exceed three years.

If you have any questions about this policy, please email Childrenschurch@NorthPointeChurch.com
